Jane Espie, known as The Phantom Piper, is a Scottish bagpiper celebrated for her dynamic performances and innovative approach to traditional bagpipe music. She began playing the bagpipes at the age of 8 and, by 18, was experimenting with various sounds to challenge conventional perceptions of the instrument. At 21, she departed from traditional styles, embracing a more contemporary and eclectic approach.
