Fran Drescher, born on September 30, 1957, in Flushing, Queens, New York, is an American actress, comedian, and producer best known for her role as Fran Fine in the beloved sitcom The Nanny (1993–1999), which she co-created with her then-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson. Known for her distinctive voice and comedic timing, Drescher's portrayal of a brash and stylish nanny made her a household name.

Drescher began her career with small roles in films like Saturday Night Fever (1977) and This Is Spinal Tap (1984). However, it was The Nanny that solidified her status as a television icon. She has also worked as an executive producer and director for various projects, showcasing her versatility in the entertainment industry.

Standing 5 feet 5 inches (165 cm) tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds (64 kg), Fran has an hourglass figure with measurements of 34-24-34 inches. Her striking dark hair, expressive features, and bold sense of fashion have been part of her enduring appeal​.
