Annie wakes up feeling unwell, but decides to continue with her daily tasks. However, she soon realizes that her daughter Grace and Grace's horse, Pilgrim, are missing. Annie and her partner Tom set out to search for Grace, who is riding Pilgrim aimlessly, full of anger and pain. Grace wants to punish the adults for something she has discovered about them. Meanwhile, Tom and Frank follow Grace's tracks until they find her in a dangerous situation, surrounded by wild horses.
