LaFerrari (codenamed F70, internal codenamed F150) is a hybrid supercar launched by Ferrari. "La" in the car name is the definite article used before feminine singular nouns in Italian, which is equivalent to "The" in English. The car made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013. Its design draws on the testing results of the Ferrari FXX racing car. It was planned to keep the weight of the car within 1,000 kilograms, but the final announced weight was 1,255 kilograms. Like the Enzo, the LaFerrari is produced in a limited edition of 499 units. On August 31, 2016, the factory announced that it would produce an additional 500th vehicle for charity auction, and all proceeds will be donated to the victims of the 2016 earthquake in central Italy.
