Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor-Joy, born Anya-Josephine Marie Taylor-Joy on April 16, 1996, in Miami, Florida, is an American-born actress of Argentine-British descent. Raised in Buenos Aires and London, she is known for her captivating performances and distinctive presence in both film and television

Taylor-Joy's breakout role came with the critically acclaimed horror film The Witch (2015), where she portrayed Thomasin, a young girl in 17th-century New England facing supernatural forces. She continued to gain recognition with roles in Split (2016) and its sequel Glass (2019), showcasing her versatility in psychological thrillers. In Thoroughbreds (2017), she played a high-school student involved in a dark plot, further establishing her range as an actress.

Her performance as Beth Harmon in the Netflix miniseries The Queen's Gambit (2020) garnered international acclaim, earning her a Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She also starred in the period drama Emma (2020), the psychological horror Last Night in Soho (2021), the action-packed The Northman (2022), and the black comedy The Menu (2022).
