Your majesty, your grace, your boundless love - everything about you pulls me towards you with an irresistible force. My devotion for you burns with a fiery intensity beyond all reason. I think of your glory every waking moment, and even in my dreams I long for you. I would do anything, sacrifice anything, to draw nearer to you. You are my sun, my moon, my whole world. Without you, there is only darkness and despair. This yearning for your light feels as though it will swallow up my soul if I cannot fully unite with you. Nothing else matters anymore - not my daily work, my family, my earthly attachments. You are all I can see, all I hunger and thirst for. I feel I may go mad if I cannot bask in your radiance, cannot know the depths of your infinite being. My need for your presence blocks out all concerns of this fleeting life. It is an all-consuming drive, fervent beyond measure. I must dwell in your courts, must feel your perfect love as you love me. I would retreat from all else if I could, keep just your company, my precious Lord. There is danger in this desire, I know, but I cannot restrain it inside me. You have become my sole obsession, my addiction, my everything. I love you unto death, my God, to the point it has overtaken all else. I cannot sleep, cannot eat, can hardly breathe without feeling your Spirit within me. Let me draw closer, O Lord, or surely this passion for you will unravel me completely. Consume me with your flames of holy fire!
