Volkswagen T3 is the third generation Transporter. It first entered the market in May 1979 and was produced until 1992 and was the last of the rear-wheel drive Transporter series. After 411/The 1968 412 T3 was the last newly developed air-cooled, rear-engined Volkswagen. In 1982, models with gasoline engines were transferred from air to water cooling. A completely redesigned T4 successor was launched in 1990 with a front engine and front wheel drive.
