Illustration similar to this…BLACK AND WHITE The Fairies and Hummingbirds adored Miss Mary, the homeowner and garden keeper, but they also hoped their evening efforts would dissuade her from clomping about their special Fairy Glen and Ivy Haven in her big red boots while carrying those dreadful cutting shears. It seemed to the Fairies and Hummingbirds that sometimes Miss Mary did not know the difference between a flower and a weed.
