**The Life of Hazrat Yousuf (Joseph, Peace Be Upon Him)** Hazrat Yousuf (AS), also known as Joseph in the Bible, is one of the most beloved prophets in Islam. His story, which is a tale of patience, faith, and divine wisdom, is detailed in Surah Yusuf of the Quran. ### **The Dream** Yousuf (AS) was the son of Prophet Yaqub (Jacob, AS). He was one of twelve brothers, and his father loved him dearly. One night, Yousuf had a dream in which he saw eleven stars, the sun, and the moon bowing down to him. When he told his father about this dream, Yaqub (AS) realized that it was a sign of Yousuf's future greatness and warned him not to share the dream with his brothers, fearing their jealousy. ### **The Brothers' Betrayal** Yousuf's brothers were indeed jealous of him because they felt that their father loved him more than them. They plotted to get rid of him, initially planning to kill him, but later decided to throw him into a deep well. They deceived their father by showing him Yousuf's shirt stained with false blood, leading him to believe that a wild animal had devoured his beloved son. ### **Sold into Slavery** Yousuf was found by a passing caravan and sold into slavery in Egypt. He was bought by a nobleman named Al-Aziz, who took him into his household. Despite his difficult circumstances, Yousuf grew up to be a handsome and righteous young man, earning the favor of his master. ### **The Temptation and Imprisonment** Yousuf's trials did not end there. The wife of Al-Aziz, Zulaikha, was infatuated with him and attempted to seduce him. However, Yousuf, being a prophet and a man of great virtue, resisted her advances. In her anger and embarrassment, Zulaikha falsely accused Yousuf of trying to seduce her, leading to his unjust imprisonment. In prison, Yousuf continued to demonstrate his piety and wisdom.
