He decides to create a work that combines beauty and horror, reflecting the duality of the past, especially the figure of Hitler and the use of art to manipulate. As he paints, his anguish grows, and his distorted painting becomes a cry of despair and hope. During the opening of his exhibition, a riot breaks out and someone throws a smoke bomb. In the chaos, Leo tries to save his work, but the flames consume it. As the fire ravages the room, Leo realizes that his message fades along with his canvas.
