Here's the next part of the story: As I lay in the hospital bed, trying to shake off the feeling of unease, my mother and sister came to visit me. My mother, always the worrier, looked pale and concerned. "What happened, sweetie? The police said they found you unconscious in your home." I tried to explain, but the words caught in my throat. How could I tell them about the dark presence, the whispers, the feeling of being watched? They'd think I was crazy. My sister, Emily, looked at me with a mixture of fear and curiosity. "Is it true what the neighbors said? About the abandoned house being haunted?" I hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. But something about Emily's expression made me trust her. "I don't know if it's haunted," I said slowly, "but something was in that house. And it followed me home." My mother's expression turned skeptical. "That's impossible, dear. You must have imagined it." But Emily just nodded. "I believe you," she said. "I've been having weird dreams too. Dreams about the house, and something dark lurking in the shadows." I felt a chill run down my spine. "What do you mean?" Emily leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper. "I think it's coming for us.
