The story of David and Goliath is one of the best known in the Bible., narrated in the book of 1 Samuel, Chapter 17. In the time of King Saul, the Israelites were at war with the Philistines. The armies of the two peoples were camped on opposite sides of a valley.. Among the Philistines, there was a giant warrior named Goliath, which was about three meters tall.
