I trained it on a mix of regular shots and of the really gross closeups of him

Use "closeup" for the really zoomed in gross pictures of him, and full body for regular shots

Specify "blue skin, wooden hands" or it gives you weird color mixes.

The best prompting style seems to be along the lines of:
