By accident, I discovered that many of my PonyXL LoRA worked with varied degrees of success in Illustrious checkpoint models. This got me thinking that the parts of the model which work with the LoRA must be compatible at some level, and so on a whim I began to experiment, looking for a merge technique that could combine the versatility of Ponyxl and the artistic prowess of Illustrious. This model is the result of that experimentation. Consider it an early test hybrid.
The model is a 50/50 mix of Illustrious XL personal merge and a custom anime style Ponyxl mix loosely based on Crystal Opal

This model is a hybrid of Illustrious and Pony based checkpoints. LoRA for both seem to be compatible, and prompting techniques for both appear to be effective.
