Kojak (Telly Savalas)

Kojak (Telly Savalas) is an American television series in 118 episodes of 48 minutes and 7 television films of 90 minutes, created by Abby Mann and broadcast from October 24, 1973 to March 18, 1978 on the CBS network. A sixth season was broadcast as part of the program ABC Mystery Movie from November 2, 1989 to April 7, 1990 on the ABC network.

Aristotelis Savalas, known as Telly Savalas, born January 21, 1922 in Garden City (New York State) and died January 22, 19941 in Universal City (California), is an American actor and singer of Greek origin.

He is particularly known for having played the lead role in the police television series Kojak in the 1970s. He was also seen in a James Bond film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), where he played the role of Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and in various successful films such as The Dirty Dozen (1967) or Gold for the Brave (1970).
