Rachel McAdams, born on November 17, 1978, in London, Ontario, Canada, is a Canadian actress. She developed a passion for acting at a young age and was deeply involved in drama during her high school years. McAdams pursued a theatre degree at York University, graduating in 2001. Before her breakthrough in Hollywood, she worked in Canadian television and film productions, including the drama film Perfect Pie (2002) and the comedy series Slings & Arrows (2003-2005).
