For most of the time since AkaKitsune appeared in this world, those who saw her fox ears treated her as a supernatural being or spirit creature.
However, at a certain point, a phenomenon known as “Otaku culture” began spreading among humans, where girls with animal ears were deemed “Kawaii.”
Seeing this as a major turning point that would change how people perceived her, AkaKitsune visited the venue of “Comic Market,” the heartland of "Otaku culture", to investigate its true nature.
The moment AkaKitsune appeared at the venue, people with cameras swarmed her, asking to take pictures. Having anticipated this reaction through prior research, AkaKitsune responded with poses she had prepared.
Otaku: “That sword looks real!”
Otaku: “What work are you cosplaying from?”
Faced with a barrage of questions she couldn't possibly answer, AkaKitsune remained silent, continuing to strike poses stoically.
Though she ultimately failed to grasp the essence of "Otaku culture" that day, she was in high spirits on her way home.
When photographers checked their camera data after returning home, nothing had been captured.
From this point onward, AkaKitsune ceased to be regarded as a supernatural being or spirit by people, instead being treated as something “Kawaii.”
By the year 2025, unbelievably, a certain internet community even featured her in a special spotlight...

AkaKitsuneはこの世に現れてからの大半の時間において、その狐の耳を見た者たちから怪異やもののけの類として扱われてきた。しかしある時期を境に、「動物の耳がついている女の子は"カワイイ"」とする"オタク文化"なるものが人類の間に広がり始めた。
これを自らに対する人々の認識が変化するであろう重大な転換期だと捉えたAkaKitsuneは、その実態を調査するため、オタク文化の本拠地である"コミックマーケット"の開催地を訪れた。
AkaKitsuneが会場に姿を現すやいなや、カメラを持ったオタクたちが彼女に群がり、写真を撮らせてくれと言ってきた。事前の調査によりこの反応を予測していたAkaKitsuneは、予習してきたポージングで彼らに応えた。
オタクたち：「その刀、本物みたいですね！」
オタクたち：「何の作品のコスプレなんですか？」
到底答えようもない質問の数々にAkaKitsuneは無言を貫き、黙々とポーズを取り続けた。
結局この日AkaKitsuneはオタク文化の真髄を捉えるまでには至らなかったが、帰り道は非常に上機嫌だった。
帰宅したオタクたちがカメラのデータを確認すると、そこには何も写っていなかったという。
この年代を境にAkaKitsuneは人々にとって怪異やもののけの類ではなく、「カワイイ」ものとして扱われるようになった。
西暦2025年には、あろうことかとあるインターネットコミュニティで彼女の特集まで組まれたこともあったそうだ…。
