Steampunk works depict a time before the development of the internal combustion engine or a chaotic period when civilization has collapsed, and technology has become obsolete. Therefore, scenes like Cinderella, where a royal family falls in love with a commoner, are often portrayed.

The manga, released in 1983, features a prince as the main character. The story revolves around a prince who rescues a former slave girl and unravels the mystery of grain. In the narrative, a civilization that once possessed the technology to make giant structures float has already Balus crumbled. Modern humans lack the technology to repair the stone structures left in the desert by ancient civilizations, forcing them to reinforce the surrounding area with wood.

The next video game was released in 1994 and narrates the story of a young girl who is brainwashed into using magical weapons. Her will is manipulated to make her participate in a war of aggression. The opening scene, where she manipulates the Magitec armor, is particularly distinctive. This work intentionally lacks a single protagonist, and all characters are treated as protagonists. In 1999, a game based on a war between nations with mobile fortresses was released. As a result of the development of mobile fortresses, battles between countries revolve around them. The game depicts interactions between the warriors and the prince, but the naive prince does not yet know the king's true purpose. The prince thinks of the king as just a kind old man, but game players are provided with the opportunity to discover the king's true nature and even witness his behind-the-scenes activities.

Five years later, in 2004, 'New Mobile Fortress' was adapted, but unfortunately, it had no connection to this work.
