Teresa Teng (Chinese: Teresa Teng; January 29, 1953 - May 8, 1995), commonly known as Teresa Teng, Taiwanese singer, actor, musician and philanthropist. Dubbed by some as the "Eternal Queen of Asian Pop", she is considered one of the most successful and influential Asian Pop singers of all time. She was recognized as a cultural icon for her contributions to Chinese pop music, and gave birth to the saying: "Where there are Chinese speakers, there is Teresa Teng's music.
