Klingon Male - Capt Klaa (Pony)

Model based on Klingon Warrior Captain Klaa from Star Trek V: The Final Frontier

This was probably the worst of all the original TOS Star Trek movies but when I was a kid watching it for the first time I remember being so intrigued by the villain .. well, I guess in retrospect it all adds up lol

That said, I haven't really thought about this movie or the character in a long long time.. then catching it on one of the free streaming services it got me thinking if I could make a realistic model on such a random and otherwise forgetable character that really doesn't have much media to build a model off of.

So as an experiment I created this model off of an initial dozen or so images I could find then cleaned them up, added a few more AI generated ones using ReActor, to see how it'd turn out. I was actually surprised how relatively well this one came out - mostly I think due to it being Pony and the enormous flexibility it has built in. It has me rethinking my workflow approach since it really didn't require many images for the training dataset to get a fairly good result.
