Use bun cover if you want covered buns, though it can be hit and miss. Typical hair length tags will still work on the un-gathered hair, such as long hair, straight hair, etc. allowing you to combine buns with unbunned(?) hair.

SDXL is very hungry and tends to see hair buns as meat buns. Drop a meat buns tag in the negative prompt if your inference starts drooling/hallucinating.
