Andrew Cadima is an American artist most notable for his oil portraits.

The faces of Cadima's subjects appear to be illuminated by some central, spectral light, illuminating expressions that seems to speak something of their emotion and thoughts which are often immediately understandable to the viewer without need for explanation. His skill captures minute facial details in a way that is hyperrealistic yet unreal, as if looking at a mirror slightly softened by a layer of fog. Cadima is an expert in the art of distorting of this realism and traditional structure to form beings and compositions that are at once human, spiritual and emotional, though often also disquieting and confronting.
