Dawn Wells (1938–2020) was an American actress best known for playing Mary Ann on the 1960s TV sitcom Gilligan's Island and its various later incarnations. (Yes, even The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island.) Mary Ann was meant to be the wholesome Midwestern farm-girl-next-door in contrast to Tina Louise's glamorous movie star Ginger — but everybody knows Mary Ann was way cuter.
