Panelki.
This is the first version of my photorealistic LoRA for all those who grew up among the panel jungle in Russia and Eastern Bloc countries.
The typical post-Soviet apartment blocks, became a defining symbol for those who grew up in Russia during the decades. Built during the Soviet era to address a housing crisis, these buildings lacked architectural elegance but were an inseparable part of daily life for millions.
For kids, the courtyards of panelki were realms of endless adventure. Cries of "Come outside!" echoed as heated debates over the rules of street games unfolded. The concrete walls bore witness to first friendships, quarrels, and secrets shared in whispers.
Inside the small, uniform apartments, the noise of the TV played, showing cartoons like Nu, Pogodi! or the first foreign action films. In winter, snowy courtyards turned into skating rinks and sledding hills, while in summer, the asphalt playgrounds became stages for games like hopscotch or "Cossacks and Robbers."
Many nostalgically recall the smell of sun-warmed concrete and the rustle of leaves near the entrances. Despite their grayness, panelki were homes where a generation’s dreams and values took shape. Today, they remain a poignant symbol of childhood and the communal spirit that united residents of these neighborhoods.
A large, high quality dataset of everything I could find was assembled; the descriptions included as much as possible all the words that are usually associated with panel aesthetics.
Generations with this LoRA are revealed in all their beauty when detailed prompts are used.
Known issues:
- does not always correctly display the entrance group to houses (location and type)
- shape and location of air conditioners
