Bamse is a Swedish cartoon strip created by Rune Andréasson. It first emerged as a series of television short films and a weekly half-page Sunday strip in 1966. The main character, Bamse, is a brown bear who becomes the world's strongest bear by eating a type of honey called "dunderhonung" (thunder-honey). The cartoon follows Bamse, along with his friends Lille Skutt and Skalman, as they embark on various adventures. Some of their adventures include searching for a sunken ship with a treasure and finding a flying carpet. Bamse has gained popularity among children and has become a beloved character in Swedish cartoons.
