• Joining Fleetwood Mac (1975): Stevie and her then-boyfriend, Lindsey Buckingham, joined Fleetwood Mac after being invited by drummer Mick Fleetwood. Their addition transformed the band from a struggling British blues group into one of the biggest rock bands in history.

• Breakthrough with Fleetwood Mac (1975): The first album with Stevie and Lindsey, Fleetwood Mac, was a huge success, featuring Stevie's "Rhiannon" and "Landslide." "Rhiannon" became one of her signature songs, often performed with an intense, almost supernatural energy.

• The Rumours Era (1977): Rumours became one of the best-selling albums of all time, fueled by the band’s internal drama. Stevie's songs "Dreams" (Fleetwood Mac’s only #1 hit) and "Gold Dust Woman" were among the standout tracks. The album was shaped by the emotional turmoil of multiple breakups within the band, including Stevie and Lindsey’s volatile split.

• Her Signature Look: During this period, Stevie crafted her witchy, bohemian aesthetic—flowing chiffon dresses, platform boots, shawls, and top hats—creating an image that became as iconic as her music.

• Tusk (1979) and the End of the Decade: Fleetwood Mac followed up Rumours with Tusk, a more experimental album featuring Stevie’s "Sara," a deeply personal song rumored to be about a lost love and an unspoken chapter of her life.

By the end of the 1970s, Stevie Nicks was a rock goddess, known for her enchanting stage presence, emotional songwriting, and a voice that could be both delicate and powerful. She would go on to release her solo debut, Bella Donna, in 1981, cementing her status as a legend.
