Sir Patrick Stewart was born on July 13, 1940, in Mirfield, West Riding of Yorkshire, England. He is an acclaimed English actor with a career spanning over seven decades in stage and screen. Stewart is best known for his roles as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men film series.

Stewart began his acting career with the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1966 and has since received numerous accolades, including two Laurence Olivier Awards and a Grammy Award.
