Tortoise Tank

The Tortoise heavy assault tank (A39) was a British heavy assault gun design developed during the Second World War, but never put into mass production. It was developed for the task of clearing heavily fortified areas such as the Siegfried Line and as a result favoured armour protection over mobility. Although heavy, at 78 tons, and not readily transported, it was considered reliable and a good gun platform.

I've stood next to this thing in real life, it's the size of a house. Trained in the usual way, mix of museum, archival and simulator screenshots. This thing never went in to battle so I've cheated slightly with the fire effects, but they still came out pretty good! Seems to behave really well at most settings, the lower you go the more "prototypey" things get.

Yes, I know it's not a tank, but it is in the Tank Museum and it's that sort of shape so, y'know, poetic licence. Enjoy!
