You can try any sampler, somehow: DPM++ 2M Karras, Ancestral Euler and new ''DPM++ 2M SDE Exponential'' are fairly successful to my eye. Cfg 7-9, depending on if you use refining checkpoint which sometimes enchants the quality.
Certain cases require Adetailer from github which is optional, using face fix after image generation has odd tendency to fail original intended colors. Some other extensions might also help if you know what you are doing, bad quality generations happen often if your settings are not correct.
Use of control net is optional, but highly recommendable to not get too random variations or bad poses. This isn't SDXL model.
I might need some help with use of merging software, generally I am not very much into AI stuff and I don't like to bother others.
