Pastel Goth Girls

Pastel Goth is a fashion style that is a result of mixing Goth/Mall Goth and Soft Grunge with the sweet pastel elements of the Kawaii aesthetic, as well as taking a lot of inspiration from Gurokawaii.

The style first emerged from groups on VK.com and later spread to Lookbook and Tumblr in the early 2010s. It also spread in popularity in Japan for a brief period thanks to the DJ Juria Nakagawa, whose style has always been highly influenced by what is popular on Tumblr. The style regained popularity somewhat in the early 2020s, being incorporated into the E-Girl/E-Kid aesthetics.
