Madhubala was one of the most iconic and influential actresses in the history of Indian cinema. Born on February 14, 1933, in Delhi, India, she was named Mumtaz Jehan Begum Dehlavi. She began her acting career at a young age, making her debut in the film "Basant" in 1942 as a child artist. Her exceptional beauty and talent quickly caught the attention of filmmakers, leading her to become one of the leading actresses of her time.

Madhubala rose to prominence in the 1950s and 1960s, starring in numerous successful films across various genres, including romantic dramas, comedies, and musicals. She captivated audiences with her mesmerizing performances and graceful demeanor, earning her the nickname "The Venus of Indian Cinema."

One of Madhubala's most memorable roles was in the classic film "Mughal-e-Azam" (1960), where she portrayed Anarkali, a court dancer who falls in love with Prince Salim. Her portrayal of Anarkali is considered one of the greatest performances in Indian cinema history and has cemented her legacy as one of the finest actresses of all time.

Despite her immense talent and popularity, Madhubala faced numerous challenges in her personal life, including health issues and a tumultuous relationship with fellow actor Dilip Kumar. She battled with a congenital heart condition throughout her life, which ultimately led to her untimely death on February 23, 1969, at the age of 36.
