I was working on an old house that my grandfather had bought to renovate.. It was a personal project, so I was there alone most of the time. One day, while in the basement, I heard a strange sound coming from underground, as if someone was dragging something heavy. I went to the place where the sound seemed to be coming from and found nothing..As the noise persisted, I decided to investigate further. There was a small door that led to an even deeper space., that was locked. however, the sound continued and seemed to be coming from that location.With a little effort, I managed to break down the door and go down a spiral staircase. No fundo, I found a small room full of old tools and some objects covered in dust. The sound stopped abruptly when I entered.. I stood for a moment inspecting the place, but I didn't find anything.As I walked back to the stairs, something made me stop: at the back of the room, in a dark corner, there was an old box with a label that said "To never open". I couldn't resist and opened the box. por dentro, there was an old doll with a sinister look in its eyes and a crumpled letter that said: 'I'm sorry I didn't come out when I had the chance. Now you are stuck here.'From that moment on, the sound started again, but this time it seemed closer, almost as if it were inside my head. I ran away from home and never came back..
