Beneath the smoldering remains of the citadel, in a narrow passage long forgotten, a boy no older than seventeen clutched a glowing shard close to his chest. His name was Kael. Son of a blacksmith, orphaned by the war, he had fled into the ruins seeking safety. What he found instead was destiny.

He learned swordplay from Ser Darrin, an old knight with scars on his body and soul. He studied the old tongues with Mira, a once-noble scholar turned healer. And at night, he listened to the stories of the Emberstone, its power to bind fire and will, to awaken the ancient spirits of Elorian.
