Catherine Chauloux

🎨 Catherine Chauloux is a self-taught French painter born in 1957 in Nantes, where she still resides. Deeply inspired by the Italian and Flemish Renaissance masters, her artistic journey began with a passion for fantastic art, later evolving into a more realistic style influenced by Orientalism. Eventually, she returned to a lyrical and imaginative realm that blends fantasy with poetic eccentricity.

Her work is known for its whimsical characters, surreal compositions, and vibrant storytelling. For over 20 years, she has exhibited her paintings in France and abroad, inviting viewers into dreamlike worlds filled with adventurous figures and curious scenes that blur the line between reality and imagination.
