Ando Fuchs, hailing from San Candido, South Tyrol, Italy, is a self-taught photographer primarily focused on capturing the interactions between urban spaces and passersby.

He is known for capturing moments when his subjects are utterly natural, striving to make viewers "feel" the image - the core aim of his photography.

Raised in a foster family after losing his parents at an early age, Fuchs discovered his passion for photography in the mid-1980s.

After gaining diverse professional experience in the hotel and construction businesses, he returned to his passion in 2009 and has never left home without a camera since.

Although he generally shoots with a digital camera, he occasionally uses film.

Describing himself as a person who constantly doubts himself and his work, Fuchs is never satisfied with the results.

He finds difficulty in accepting praise, questioning its sincerity, but considers this trait as the driving force of his growth.

Fuchs, who has never attended any photography seminars and honed all his skills through practice, now lives and works in Zilliane, Austria, close to the Italian border.

He places the mood and imagery of a frame above technical perfection and often says, "Don't ask me about the camera and lens I used to take a picture, tell me what the image says to you."
