Shantotto is an ancient and immensely powerful black mage who has played many major roles across the history of Vana'diel, both heroic and nefarious. She is as a force of nature, beholden only to herself and her peculiar sense of justice. She is well known for her rhyming speech and imperious laugh. Shantotto first appeared in Final Fantasy XI, then later the Dissidia series and Final Fantasy XIV. Her Japanese voice actress is the great Megumi Hayashibara.
