Vanessa Hudgens, born December 14, 1988, in Salinas, California, is an American actress and singer best known for her breakout role as Gabriella Montez in Disney's High School Musical series. Raised in a musical family, she began acting in theater productions at a young age before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her career. Hudgens made her television debut in Still Standing and film debut in Thirteen (2003) before achieving widespread fame with High School Musical in 2006.

Her career has included diverse roles, from family-friendly films like Journey 2: The Mysterious Island to edgier projects such as Spring Breakers and Sucker Punch. Vanessa is also a talented singer, releasing two studio albums, V (2006) and Identified (2008). In addition to her on-screen work, she has appeared in stage productions such as Rent and Grease: Live.

Hudgens is 5 feet 1 inch (155 cm) tall and is of mixed heritage, with Filipino, Chinese, Spanish, Irish, and Native American ancestry.
