I looked and saw a storm coming from the North. Lightning came out of a huge cloud. Around the cloud, the sky was on fire, and in the midst of the fire was a thing that shone like bronze. In the middle of the storm, I saw what looked like four animals. Their form was that of people, but each had four faces and four wings. Their legs were straight and had hooves that were like bull hooves and that shone like polished bronze. In addition to the four faces and the four wings, each had four hands of people, one under each wing. Two wings of each animal were open, with the tips touching each other. Thus the animals formed a square and walked in a group, without turning the body. Each animal had four different faces: in front, the face was of people; on the right side, it was of lion; on the left side, it was of oxen; and behind the face was that of an eagle. Two wings of each animal opened upwards and touched the wingtips of the animals that were at their side; and with the other two wings they covered the body. Each animal could look in all four directions, so the group went where it wanted to go, without having to turn. Among the animals was something that looked like a lit torch and that was always in motion. The fire increased, and lightning came out of the fire.
