The journey is made more arduous by my bare feet which suffer scratches and blisters from brambles and stones along the way. Discomfort and a creeping feeling of vulnerability at being isolated and unclothed are my tormenting companions. After some time walking briskly along the forest path, I round a bend and, to my astonishment, I behold a finely attired noblewoman approaching from the opposite direction! She rides perched sidesaddle upon a tall proud steed, wearing an exquisite emerald gown with gold embroidered trim and fine leather riding boots. Her long auburn locks cascade in perfect silken waves beneath a jeweled hair net.
