I had a dream like this. As I sat at her bedside with my arms folded, a woman lying on her back said in a quiet voice that she was going to die. The woman's long hair was spread across the pillow, and her soft, melon-shaped face lay in it. A moderate flush of warm blood lingered beneath her pure white cheeks, and her lips were, of course, red. She didn't look like she was going to die at all. But the woman said clearly, in a quiet voice, that she was going to die. I too thought to myself that I was definitely going to die. So I looked into her from above and asked, "Is that so? Are you going to die?" As she said "Of course I'm going to die," the woman opened her eyes wide. Her large, moist eyes were wrapped around her long eyelashes, and inside them was just pitch black. Deep in those pitch black pupils, my own image stood out vividly.
