To: At the bottom right, select the translation language. Tap Speak Speak. If this button is disabled, the spoken language can't be translated. Change your speech settings On your Android phone or tablet, open the Translate app Translate app. Tap Menu and then Settings Settings. Pick a setting. For example: To automatically speak translated text: Tap Speech input. Then, turn on Speak output. To translate offensive words: Tap Speech input. Then, turn off Block offensive words. To choose from available dialects: Tap Region. Then, select the language and dialect. To choose gender tone: Tap Tone. Then, select male or female. This feature is only available for some languages
