#### **SCENE 1: La Presentación de Thomas**
*Exterior – Park de un vecindario, sunny day.*

**Storyteller**
Había una vez un niño llamado Thomas. A Thomas le encantaba el fútbol. But there was a small problem! Thomas nunca había jugado en un equipo antes. He always played alone in his garden, dreaming of being a great footballer.

*Thomas está en su jardín, kicking a soccer ball against the wall. He makes faces and celebratory sounds every time he scores an imaginary goal..*

**Thomas (Pretending to be a commentator)**
¡Thomas avanza, Dodge the defenders, kick and… goal! He is the best player in the world!

#### **SCENE 2: The Invitation**
*Exterior – Park, varios niños juegan fútbol mientras Thomas observa desde una banca.*

**Storyteller**
One day, Thomas fue al parque y vio a un grupo de niños jugando un partido de fútbol. I was so looking forward to joining in! But… what if it wasn't good enough??

*One of the children, diego, se da cuenta de que Thomas está mirando.*

**diego**
Understand, You! Do you want to play with us??

*Thomas se pone nervioso pero asiente con la cabeza.*

**Thomas (shy)**
Well… yes, I'd love to!

*diego le lanza la pelota a Thomas.*

**diego**
Come on, join my team!

#### **Scene 3: The Great Challenge**
*Exterior – The improvised football field in the park.*

**Storyteller**
Thomas se une al partido, but it is not easy. The other children are very fast and know how to move the ball.. Thomas corre detrás de ellos, but he barely touches her.

*Thomas corre detrás de un niño que lleva la pelota, but stumbles and falls.*

**Thomas (Whispering to himself, with discouragement)**
I'm not good enough…

*suddenly, the ball rolls towards him. The other kids yell at him to shoot..*

**diego**

*Thomas cierra los ojos y da un fuerte puntapié a la pelota. The ball flies in the air, but instead of going to the goal…*

The ball flew so high that it disappeared among the trees.!
