In the middle of the clearing was an old, half-ruined stone column, around which the roots of trees were entwined. On the column they discovered the same symbols as on the stone. Jaro carefully placed the stone in a recess in the pillar, and suddenly everything around her came to life. A gentle, blue glow spread, and the symbols began, to pass into the shining light.
