It is proposed to design an underground water tank for a small housing scheme. The tank is of cylindrical shape. The total height of the tank is 8m. Diameter is 5m. Wall thickness is 300 mm and the top slab is 350mm thick. Top of the slab is at the same level of the ground. Tank is empty and water table is at the ground level. Take density of water = 1000 kg/m3
