In the year 2050, Earth is a post-apocalyptic wasteland, reminiscent of the Mad Max series. The only remaining intelligent robot, named OP12, was created as a figure of the last human's death. OP12 spends its time searching for other sentient life, hoping to find companionship. Surprisingly, it discovers a hidden underground society of sentient animals, who have their own customs and social structures. To communicate with the animals, OP12 uses its advanced technology from its inspiration in "Ex Machina".
