So intently was I concentrating on my newly-clean and combed image that I hardly noticed that the breeze had returned, until it suddenly whipped my travelling-cloak from my shoulders. “Oh!” I cried, turning to run after the cloak, but it rose up in the air out of my reach, coming to rest in midair near one corner of the room. The breeze, meanwhile, followed me, plucking at my elbows and swirling around my waist and my back. A second set of doors, next to the mirror, burst open, and splendid gowns began to float through them, a parade of embroidered, beribboned, bejewelled silks and velvets, every dress fit for a queen. I stared at the dresses, bemused at the splendour before me, and was again surprised when I realised that the breeze flitting around me had unlaced my bodice.
