They resembled red embers. Without heat, without light, yet their afterimage seemed to tremble through the air itself. As the petals scattered, the shadows grew longer. As if the darkness were choosing to form shape, figures slowly rose from it. No voices, no breaths. Their existence alone carried weight. Like hesitation and regret embedded in the soil, silhouettes shaped like humans appeared one by one. No shadows lay beneath their feet. Only a chilling aura seeped outward. The girl spoke no words. No wavering existed in her gray eyes. As a single petal slipped from her fingertips— their footsteps echoed in a low, subtle rumble. The moonlight brushed through the clouds, and the red glow tinted the ends of her hair. That light drifted—then faded, like a memory slipping away. The figures quietly lifted their heads. Though voiceless, a sigh-like wind stirred around the girl. She closed her eyes slowly. The lingering scent of spider lilies melted into the night air, and time itself seemed to pause. When the last petal vanished, the figures gradually turned transparent, returning to the darkness without leaving a trace. What remained was— the girl, the faint red glow on her fingertips, and behind the clouds, a silent, unending stare from the blood-colored moon.
