The process is carried out by homemade saponification, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of oil waste and offering an ecological alternative to commercial soaps. 3. General Objectives: • Demonstrate the feasibility of recycling used cooking oil for the production of biodegradable soap. • Promote sustainable practices that reduce environmental impact and promote recycling. 4. Specific Objectives: • Produce biodegradable soap from used oil, using the saponification process. • Evaluate the effectiveness of biodegradable soap compared to commercial soaps. • Promote awareness about the importance of recycling and reusing waste in the school community. 5. Hypothesis: Used cooking oil can be transformed into effective biodegradable soap using a homemade saponification process. 6. RESEARCH VARIABLES: • Independent variable: The type of cooking oil used (For example, olive oil, sunflower oil, etc.). • Dependent variable: The quality
