In this project, We show how it is possible to recycle used cooking oil and transform it into biodegradable soap. The process is carried out by homemade saponification, with the aim of reducing the environmental impact of oil waste and offering an ecological alternative to commercial soaps.
3. General Objectives:
• Demonstrate the feasibility of recycling used cooking oil for the production of biodegradable soap.
• Promote sustainable practices that reduce environmental impact and promote recycling.
4. Specific Objectives:
• Produce biodegradable soap from used oil, using the saponification process.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of biodegradable soap compared to commercial soaps.
• Promote awareness about the importance of recycling and reusing waste in the school community.
5. Hypothesis:
Used cooking oil can be transformed into effective biodegradable soap using a homemade saponification process.
6. RESEARCH VARIABLES:
• Independent variable: The type of cooking oil used (For example, olive oil, sunflower oil,
etc.).
