Samwise Gamgee sighed contentedly as he looked out over the large field of potatoes. The potatoes were plump and ripe, their skins a healthy brown. Sam breathed in deeply, inhaling the earthy scent of the potato plants. This was his favorite time of year, when the potato crop was nearly ready for harvest. Samwise grabbed a basket and stepped eagerly into the rows of potato plants. He kneeled down and started gathering potatoes, placing them gently in his basket. With each potato he picked, Sam marveled at their size and quality. "These are the best taters I've seen in years!" Sam exclaimed. Once his basket was full, instead of taking it back to the cart, Samwise unexpectedly tipped the basket over and spilled the potatoes out onto the dirt. He then flung himself onto the pile of potatoes and began rolling around happily, squishing and squashing the potatoes beneath him. "Ah this feels wonderful!" Sam cried out with glee. The potatoes were cool and soft against his skin. Sam rolled to and fro, thoroughly coating himself in potato mush. He looked positively blissful as the mashed potatoes oozed between his toes and clung to his curly hair. Sam continued wiggling and rolling on the potatoes until he was thoroughly satisfied. Finally, Samwise stood up, covered from head to toe in potato puree and bits of potato skin. He licked some of the potato off his hands and sighed contentedly. "Nothing quite like a good potato roll," Sam declared, grinning at his day spent frolicking with his beloved potatoes.
