The soldiers helmets are filled with a heated wet tree sap and beeswax mix before their heads are dunked and lowered into the helmets. On top of their heads and faces being scorched, the beeswax and tree sap traps heat inside of the tungsten armor. Due to the unnatural shape of the helmets, the soldiers end up having to be forced inside, causing immense pain and eventually morphing the face of the teenage soldiers to the shape of the helmet since their traditions require them to never take the armor off.
